| Mary Cabela winner of the 2001 "Diana" award from SCI. Has hunted since childhood and together with her husband Dick Cabela internationally since 1987. Has hunted every continent and worked with or donated to over 600 conservation, wildlife education and sport hunting organizations. Queen Elizabeth I of England was well known to be an accomplished horsewoman and huntress. "She loved to hawk and hunt. In 1575 The French Ambassador reported she had killed 6 does with her crossbow." She hunted deer and stag, but also liked to bait bears which was popular in Medieval times.
