The natural world has always held a fascination for me. When I was a young girl, I would spend hours in the woods sitting quietly, studying and observing plants, birds, and wildlife. I began to draw at an early age and also put my thoughts into written words, thereby making memories for the times to come when the woods would seem far away. I have been a college writing instructor for 15 years, striving to help my students find beauty in the written word and the outdoor world around them. My many interests include hunting, fishing, reading, writing, and doing research.
