Tina Knapp - I am a single mother of two daughters, aged 12 and 9. The 12 year old enjoys shooting archery, however, my 9 year old is too small to pull back the youth bow yet - she can, but it's a struggle!!

I have been hunting with a bow since 1995 - and got my High Country Sniper Light in 1997. It's a great bow for me. I took my first deer - a nine point buck with that in 1998. I just purchased a Martin Mamba 50# recurve and am trying to get it set up with arrows, etc., so I can start hunting with it probably next year. I can't wait!!

I am a certified early childhood ed. teacher and ran a daycare out of my home for 6 years. Now, I am lucky enough to work for a boss that is very into hunting, so he understands when I take off for turkey or deer hunting! I currently work as an office manager in a small welding shop, but would love to get into some type of work with the outdoors, archery, etc. Maybe someday........

I am active in our local hunting club, and always volunteer for working at the Sportsman's Show in March - my daughters like to help too. I recently purchased 18 acres in Ohio that I am in the process of finishing a small hunting cabin . I even took a deer out of it last fall! Lots of turkeys, deer and even back bear on it. I'm hoping to have a successful hunting season.

I belong to the NWTF and am on the planning committee for our Ohio State Women In The Outdoors event to be held Sept. 7-9, 2001. We are hoping for 175-200 women. Some day I would like to go on some hunts for elk, caribou, moose and mule deer. I hear wild boar are exciting also! Until then, I enjoy listening to everyone elses adventures.
